Cookies
Last updated 16 October 2026
This site sets two small cookies of its own, for working out where new sign-ups come from, and keeps a few things in your browser’s storage, which the rules treat the same way. Here is all of it.
What is stored
- Your sign in session, kept by Google's Firebase Authentication so you are not asked to sign in on every page. Cleared when you sign out.
- A random claim token, only on a shared wishlist page, so that if you mark something as claimed you are the one who can undo it. It identifies nothing about you.
- A note that you have seen the storage notice, so it stops reappearing.
- Two cookies, ss_ref and ss_landing, set when you arrive from a link with a referral code or visit someone's public profile or list. They hold that code (for example u_somebody) and the page you landed on, for 30 days, and are read once if you create an account, so the creator who sent you is credited. They identify nothing about you and are not shared with anyone.
- A note, for this visit only, of which public pages you have already viewed, so a page is counted once per visit rather than on every reload.
What is needed, and what is not
Consent is required for storage that is not needed to provide what you asked for. The session, the claim token and the notice are needed for what you asked for. The referral cookies and the per-visit view note are not: they exist so creators can see how many people their pages bring in. They hold no identifier, are first-party only, and you can remove them at any time by clearing this site’s cookies and storage. There is no advertising or third-party tracking storage here.
Things loaded from elsewhere
Product pictures on wishlist pages are loaded from the shops and from Google’s image servers. Requesting a picture tells that server your IP address and roughly what page you are on. We do not control what those companies do with that. Typefaces are served from this site rather than from Google Fonts, so reading a page does not tell Google you were here.
Clearing it
Signing out removes the session. Clearing site data in your browser removes the rest. Any question goes to eluwadevictorious@gmail.com.
